SurfSong Villa
Treasure Cay is a small peninsula located on the Island of Abaco which is the 3rd largest island in the Bahamas. It is located about 180 miles directly east of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Treasure Cay Airport (TCB) is located about 6 miles north of Treasure Cay and is serviced by Continental Airlines from Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, and Palm Beach. Marsh Harbor Airport (MHH) is located about 30 miles to the southeast of Treasure Cay and is serviced by American, Continental and Bahamas Air. Taxis meet all scheduled flights at both airports. Cab fare to SurfSong Villa is about $17.00 from the Treasure Cay Airport and about $70.00 from Marsh Harbor Airport.
How to get from the airport to SurfSong Villa:
Tell the taxi driver your are staying in Treasure Cay at the Beach Villas, Villa number 589, “SurfSong” on Beach Rd. The driver will know where the Beach Villas are but may not know where #589 SurfSong is. To assist him (or her) look for the Traffic Circle after passing the Treasure Cay Golf Course. As soon as you enter the Traffic Circle take the first left directly off the circle. You will be on Beach Rd. (which is more like a country lane than a road.) Proceed to the end of the lane until you reach the last white villa on your right just before you reach the small parking area and the beach.
Getting around once you arrive:
Most all of the main attractions in Treasure Cay are within easy walking distance (within10 minutes). If you prefer not to walk, it is easy to rent a golf cart, scooter, or bicycle at the small shopping center to the south of the grocery store. If you want to go fishing or island hopping you can rent a boat at the marina or catch a local ferry, if you want to range out and explore Abaco on your own you can rent a car.
